This Augustinian priory situated near Eastbourne in
Sussex, dates back to the thirteenth century and has a number of ghostly
inhabitants.
A 'Gray Lady' has been seen in the gatehouse, while in
the Tudor room a lady wearing Elizabethan costume has been seen. A strange
phantom, dressed in black is reputedly to be found floating from one corner
of the ceiling to the floor, descending what was once a staircase.
